About Our Soap Shreds
We
offer several different types of soap shreds, each formulated
to suit a particular purpose. Some of our shreds melt faster than
others, based on the formulation amd ingredients used in making
the shreds.
All of our soap shreds are all natural
with no added chemicals, fragrances, colorants or other additives.
Our shreds are made using the cold process or hot process soap
making methods. They melt well in microwaves, crock pots, the
oven and double boilers when making handmilled soaps, shampoos,
laundry detergents, bath sachets, bath soaks, liquid soaps and
sugar or salt scrubs.
Our "Quick Suds Soap Shreds
" are formulated to melt faster in the microwave,
for those who wish to speed up the melting process.
Comparison Chart For Approximate
Melting Times
The following chart shows the melting
time for 3 different soap bases. We melted 1 ounce of each base,
and then 4 ounces of each base, in a typical home microwave to
compare melting times for each type of soap base. Results may
vary since every microwave is different, and since the water content
in each soap base can be different due to the amount of time each
base has had for water content to evaporate from the bases.
The chart is mainly to illustrate
that there are all natural quick alternatives available for making
homemade soaps without using commercial bases with chemicals in
their formulations.

using vegetable oils only with no lard or tallow.
This base produces a fine, rich, thick and creamy
lather. It is also formulated to provide "Squeeky
clean" cleansing, for those who do not like
the "soft and slick" feeling of mousturizing
soaps. This base is perfect to use for soaps for
both men and women. To make more mousturizing
homemade soaps, one simply needs to add one tablespoon
of their favorite oil to every 4 ounces of soap
shreds.

oils, and is also a great base for anyone on a
budget. We've added a fine blend of safflower
oil, canola oil and palm oil to create a very
mousturizing base. This base is off white in color,

100% Pure And Gentle
Olive Oil Castile Soap Shreds
Our Castille shreds are a true Castile base
using nothing but pure olive oil as it's main ingredient.
Although our Castile shreds produce a soap that is softer
than most, we decided to use olive oil as it's only ingredient
so that we could provide the gentlest soap shreds possible
to our customers. These shreds create a mild soap that
is gentle and very moisturizing, with a very creamy lather.
It's so creamy that it feels as if one is bathing with
a bar of solid whipped cream. This base has a very faint
green tint due to the olive oil so colors may not be as
vibrant in your handmilled soaps, but they will certainly
be beautiful.
Ingredients: Olive Oil
and Sodium Hydroxide

Exotic Butter
Soap Shreds
We developed these shreds for those
who love the creamy lather of cocoa butter, the
skin loving goodness of shea butter and the moisturizing
qualities of mango butter. This base produces a
creamy and generous lather, that is stable enough
to use for shampoo and shaving bars. This base does
have a faint yellow tint due to the cocoa butter,
but this does not interfere with most soap colorants.
All colorants that we have tested have come through
vibrant and true.
Ingredients: Coconut Oil,
Safflower Oil, Palm Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Mango
Butter, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Castor Oil
